Jyshoun

Singing since the age of 7, and composing at age 10, JyShoun has proven himself as a true rising star of R&B.  Raised on the sound of classic rhythm and blues and encouraged by his mother at a young age, JyShoun crafts the sounds of of the early 90’s into a true R&B style.  JyShoun has been hailed as todays nextMarvin Gaye by many, including Ron Fair, the president of A&M Records.
Signed in 2000 by A&M/Interscope Records, JyShoun’s debut came on Keyshia Cole’s first album, “The Way It Is”, a collaboration that earned a platinum record for the duet.  He also opened for her on the “Love” tour. In the words of Keyshia herself,”…This dude is dope.”
Featured on the soundtrack for Mo’nique’s “Hair Show”, Jy has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. He has co-written songs with Rick Ross, Young Joc, Triple C’s, and Naughty by Nature.  He has arranged songs with Sean Garret, Masspike Miles, Kanye West, Keri Hilson, and Chink Santana. Jy has also collaborated with  Neyo, The Dream, Polo The Don, Keyshia Cole, Smoke Bulga, Rza and Ol Dirty Bastard from Wu Tang Clan, RL from NEXT, Sean Stockman from Boys 2 Men, Ron Fair, Chink Santana, Swiss Beatz, Statik, The Game, Sauce Money, Mike City, Sam Salter and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.
JyShoun is keeping the sound of real Rhythm and Blues alive, and has been frequently been compared to Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, R. Kelly, and Marvin Gaye, but with a sound that is completely his own. 2010 looks to be the breakout year for JyShoun, with the release of two new singles, Keep Me High and Incomplete. Time and time again, JyShoun has proven himself to be a major talent within the industry.
